  8. Thanks to Nels Anderson for his work on Mahjongg. I first came 
  9. across it about 3 years ago, downloading version 2.5 from a BBS 
  10. somewhere.  I immediately got addicted to it as did most of the 
  11. people in my office who had EGA machines.  We sent Nels the money 
  12. to register our copy and got a version of EGA Trek as well.  
  13.  
  14. Along comes version 3.3 with it's tile editing capabilities which 
  15. adds a whole new creative aspect to the game.  I think people are 
  16. spending more time designing tile sets than actually playing the 
  17. game.  
  18.  
  19. It took a couple of days to decide what to do a set on and one 
  20. day while flipping through the channels on the TV, it suddenly 
  21. hit me...TELEVISION!  It certainly is graphics oriented enough to 
  22. base a set of tiles on.  Originally, I thought I could fill up an 
  23. entire set with just network logos from cable TV, but after 
  24. looking through my cable listings, it turned out it would only 
  25. supply me with half of the tiles. Time to get creative. Along 
  26. comes tiles like TV, VCR, Camcorder, Satellite Dish... Oh no! I'm 
  27. running out of ideas! How about a presidential address to stretch 
  28. the subject a bit.

  30. Well, I finally finished it after about a month of flipping 
  31. through channels and recording network logos before TV shows 
  32. would start.  Now maybe I can get some sleep, although I was
  33. thinking about an idea for another set...(What's that dear?
  34. OK, I'm almost done...)

  67. I have tried to re-create the network logos as accurately as 
  68. possible, given the limited resolution and colors, but that only 
  69. adds to the challenge.

  72. satisfied in knowing that you enjoy my efforts. I do not have 
  73. permission of any kind to use these logos, but I suppose I should 
  74. give credit to the appropriate networks...Consider yourself 
  75. credited. I also hereby declare that any company claiming 
  76. ownership of any of the graphic representations presented herein 
  77. may claim an amount equal to 1/42 of the total amount of net 
  78. income that I receive from this product.
