  1. OPERATION SPRINGBOARD

  3. Preliminary softening up before an 
  4. invasion is S.O.P. Fighters were employed
  5. for low-level and quick strikes into 
  6. enemy territory. Quite often the targets
  7. were known enemy airfields.
  8.  
  9.                Mission Orders
  10.  
  11. Your group of P-51s are on a quick strike
  12. raid against the Rheine airfield. You are
  13. loaded with bombs and rockets for the 
  14. strike.
  15.  
  16. Do as much damage as you can to the airbase
  17. and destroy as many aircraft as you can
  18. before running for home.
