Preliminary softening up before an 
invasion is S.O.P. Fighters were employed
for low-level and quick strikes into 
enemy territory. Quite often the targets
were known enemy airfields.

               Mission Orders

Your group of P-51s are on a quick strike
raid against the Rheine airfield. You are
loaded with bombs and rockets for the 
strike.

Do as much damage as you can to the airbase
and destroy as many aircraft as you can
before running for home.
