  3. German coastal airfields near the Channel
  4. would mount patrols on a regular basis
  5. and hope to catch some Allied aircraft
  6. that have wandered out over the Channel
  7. or were returning from raids on the
  8. continent. Special patrols were mounted
  9. when returning bomber streams were 
  10. detected and their courses plotted.

  12.                Mission Orders
  13.  
  14. You are to lead your schwarm of Fw190As on
  15. a Channel patrol and watch for any enemy
  16. aircraft that may be in you path. You are
  17. to intercept the enemy aircraft and 
  18. destroy them to the best of your ability.
  19.  
  20. However, you must be aware that the Allies
  21. also mount patrols over the Channel and you
  22. may run into one of these as well. You'll
  23. also be a long way out and you'll need 
  24. every drop of fuel you'll be carrying.
