  1. BEEF AND RICE SKILLET
  2. Top of stove dish.  Only one skillet needed.  Simple!

  5. I%1, lb, ground beef
  6. I%2, T., margarine
  7. I%1 1/2, tsp., salt
  8. I%1, tsp., pepper, (or to taste)
  9. I%1, medium, onion
  10. I%1/2, medium, green pepper
  11. I%1 1/3, cup, white rice, (instant variety)
  12. I%28, oz, tomatoes, canned
  13. I%1/2, T., yellow mustard

  16. R%Lightly brown the ground beef in the margarine in a large skillet.
  17. R%Season with 1 tsp. salt and the pepper.  Meanwhile, thinly slice
  18. R%onion and green pepper and add it to the skillet.  Stir in the
  19. R%instant rice.  Sautee over high heat until the rice is lightly
  20. R%browned.  Add the tomatoes, mustard, and the remaining salt.
  21. R%Mix well and bring to a boil.  Reduce heat and let simmer 5 minutes
