BDIFF by Steve Riley
This utility will compare binary (or any type) of files for
differences. BDIFF can be used in scripts with the -q option,
returning a zero on no differences, a five (WARN) on files with
differences. It is a CLI only program, the -s option (default)
will only tell you whether there are differences or not, the -l
option tells you if there are differences along with the file
lengths in bytes and the date and time the files were last
modified.
I wrote this because there are a lot of utilities out there that
will diff ascii files, but I hadn't seen one I could use on an ARC
file or IFF file; where I had files with different names but had
reason to believe they were the same, but wasn't sure.
This program should come with the following files:
bdiff.doc
bdiff
