- 'Four in a Row' V1.0 8/14/87

- This is a Public Domain program and may be freely copied, distributed,
- and/or modified but not for commercial use or for money. Also, I ask
- that all of the source files that make up this program and this message
- file stay together when distributed.
-
- To compile (I used Lattice 3.10) just do an 'execute make four'
- with the four.c, struct.c, gadget.c, menu.c, image.c, imagedata.c,
- display.c, and make files in the current directory.
-
- This is my first Amiga program, and I hope you enjoy it. Probably
- the most serious need is a better computer player; it just tries
- not to make bad moves at present.
-
- The game is pretty straightforward; click on one of the eight knob-like
- gadgets near the bottom of the window to stack a bead on the corresponding
- pole. The first one to make four beads in a row (horizontally, vertically,
- or diagonally) wins. The computer plays the brown colored beads and can be
- made to play brown (or not) by toggling the "one player/two player" menu
- item at any time, even during game play. To start a new game, just select
- the "new game" menu item; who goes first is determined by the state of the
- "I'm first/You're first" menu item when a new game is begun.

-
- Any comments, wisecracks, or gratuitous monies are welcome.
