  2.           BIG SINNERS AND LITTLE SINNERS

  4.      Some people just naturally seem to be "better" or
  5. closer to God than others.  When a person with lots of
  6. problems looks over at someone who really seems to "have it
  7. all together," the result can be jealousy, depression, and
  8. even despair.
  9.  
  10.      The Bible pops this illusion-bubble with the startling
  11. statement that ALL people have the same BASIC problem, and
  12. the SAME basic answer can apply to every person.
  13.  
  14.      The apostle Paul wrote, "There is no difference, for
  15. all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are
  16. justified freely by his grace through the redemption that
  17. came by Christ Jesus." (Romans 3:22-24 NIV)
  18.  
  19.      The most wanton and hardened criminal and the prim and
  20. chaste housewife have in common that by their own records
  21. they "fall short" before God and need to find their
  22. provision in the "redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
  23. There are myriads of differences between individuals, but
  24. in this most important way, "there is no difference."

  26.      In the edition we quoted from above, the New
  27. International Version, the letter to the Romans is only 16
  28. pages long.  Read it for yourself.

  30.      Because of the redemption that Jesus Christ purchased
  31. with His substitutionary death on the cross, and the
  32. victory He accomplished when He rose from the dead, He
  33. offers you, before the Court date, a free, gracious, and
  34. undeserved pardon from all your sins; if only you will put
  35. your trust in Him as Savior and Lord.

  37.      Some people actually do commit grosser sins than
  38. others, but every descendant of Adam and Eve is a sinner
  39. who needs a Savior.  This includes even you.

  41.      Put your trust in Jesus.  Don't wait: do it NOW.
