All the originality of this chair derives from the rather unusual shape of the back. Heart-shaped open work decorates the middle cross-piece and the three vertical slats on the upper part. Everything is made with rounded lines, an evident sign of the search for comfort. This rocker, even if it was not part of the trousseau of a bride, gives evidence, nevertheless of the affection and concern the chair-maker felt towards the fortunate person for whom it was built. Uprights, cross-pieces, slats, rockers, in yellow birch, bars of elm; seat recently woven.
