Chantal Rousseau is a painter born in Montreal, Quebec, in 1975. She studied at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts de Paris in 1996, and at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in 1997.
Scope and content
The collection consists of ten graphite drawings on bond paper, 22.5 x 28 cm, by Chantal Rousseau, 1997, and two Kleenex tissues.
Note
The artist stated: "This work occupies a place that I hope is both erotic and uncomfortable. I am looking back on teenage sexuality and drawing my stereotype of adolescent male desire, but from my vantage point as a women in her twenties."
