David Harding and Rick Piccolo collaborate in the production of architecture. David Harding is an intern architect who studied architecture at the University of British Columbia, where he received his Bachelor of Architecture degree, and Rick Piccolo is also a graduate of a School of Architecture, receiving his Bachelor of Architecture degree at McGill University.
Scope and content
The model, entitled "Size 10," consists of a piece of concrete with an image printed on it, an assemblage of steel, card and wood, and is accompanied by two photocopied photoprints by Harding and Piccolo, and a photocopied text by the artists, 1997. The work is based on Harding and Piccolo's previous Artropolis '93 work, 1993.
Note
The artists stated: "Reality is both more and less than our impressions of it. It is an aggregate of distortions: some real, some false, some deliberate lies. Our Architecture is a medium which amplifies or dampens these distortions as we (or you) choose, or choose not."
