Joanne Jordan is a painter born in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1957. She studied at Simon Fraser University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980, and at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1997.
Scope and content
The work consists of nine handmade, painted, wooden jigsaw puzzle pieces, each 11 x 8 cm, entitled "Reconfiguring the Hard Drive" 1997, with interchangeable pieces; both sides of the puzzle pieces are painted.

The artist stated that "The viewer can interact with the work and create their own composition."
