Sherrill Hardy is a sculptor, painter, writer, and instructor, born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, in 1945. She studied at the University of Saskatchewan, receiving a Bachelor of Education degree degree in 1980, and later a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Open Learning Institute, Vancouver, in 1993, and a Diploma in Studio Art from Emily Carr College of Art and Design, Vancouver, also in 1993, which she followed by studies at Capilano College Institute, where she received a Certificate from the Post-graduate Sculpture Program, in 1994.
Scope and content
The collection consists of two laminated posters advertising two exhibitions, a video tape recording forming part of an environmental series called "Nature's Revival - Hemp Forest," a box of slides of images of the artist's work related to issues of gender, communication, and environment, T-shirt from the "Hemp Show," a stuffed toy monkey representing an idea from the nature series, a black binder, 21.5 x 28 cm, with the artist's curriculum vitae, including a slide sheet, as well as a biography of the artist, and poly-foam.
