Jean Morrison is a printmaker born in Calcutta, India in 1934. She studied at Capilano College Art Institute, and at the Vancouver School of Art.
Scope and content
The collection consists of the artist's curriculum vitae, a plastic sleeve of twelve colour slides showing monoprints and collage work "bird nest" series from 1997, three colour laser prints depicting birds nests monoprint, 24 x 30 cm, in plastic sleeves, four mounted cyanotypes of birds nests: 24 x 35 cm, one birds nest [straw], and one cyanotype of feathers 21 x 9 cm.
Note
The artist observed that she has been working on this series for one year. There are approximately thirty monoprints now achieved with this ongoing series. The artist's process began with an etching and then lead on to work in monoprints.
