Eva Manly is a Canadian videomaker and photographer born in 1938 in Alberta. After studies at the University of Ottawa she received a degree in Fine Arts.
Scope and content
The collection consists of a video recording, 25 minutes, entitled "The Awakening of Elizabeth Shaw," directed by Eva Manly in 1995, a historical documentary based on letters found in Canadian archives relating to a residential school in Port Simpson, British Columbia in the 19th century, and accompanied by a folder with the artist's statement, curriculum vitae, and promotional material.
