Maurice Redmont is a creative writer and visual artist born in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1945. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia in art history, studying under Iain Baxter, and studied as well broadcast communications at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Scope and content
The collection consists of a photograph and other material, enclosed within a cotton purse, related to the artist's concern with "Sexual and spriritual images."
Note
The artist noted that it is his "hope to achieve simplicity and quality using minimum of technique. My paintings are inspired by the psychology of Carl Jung, medieval alchemy and classical Greek vase illustration."
