- When you attempt to configure Services for Macintosh on an Olicom 16/4
- Token-Ring Adapter from Windows NT Advanced Server, the following error
- message appears:

- Apple Talk Router Configuration
- The Apple Talk Protocol Registry Parameters cannot be read
- One or more parameters might be missing or contain invalid values.

- WORKAROUND
- ==========

- Replace the Olicom adapter with another network adapter on the Hardware
- Compatibility List that supports the Services for Macintosh protocol, or
- disable Services for Macintosh on the Olicom Token Ring 16/4 adapter.

- To disable Services for Macintosh on the Olicom Token Ring 16/4 adapter,
- use the Network section of Control Panel. Select the Olicom Token Ring 16/4
- adapter under Installed Adapter Cards and choose Bindings. Select the line
- describing Services for Macintosh binding and choose Disable.

- Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT Advanced Server
- version 3.1. We are researching this problem and will post new information
- here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
