- SYMPTOMS

- After installing Microsoft Windows NT or Windows NT Advanced Server on a
- Gateway 2000 P5-60 the mouse appears jumpy, hesitant, or stops working
- altogether.

- CAUSE
- =====

- According to Gateway 2000 technical support the Advanced ISA Timing on the
- P5-60 should be disabled by default. However, it is enabled on many of
- their computers.

- RESOLUTION
- ==========

- To correct the erratic mouse behavior, change the Advanced ISA Timing
- setting in the Advanced CMOS setup to disabled.
