  15. SYMPTOMS
  16. ========

  18. Windows NT does not install properly on PCI Mainboard 486DX2/66 computers.
  19. Please note that this computer is not supported by Windows NT at this time.
  20.  
  21. During the first reboot after the installation, Windows NT yields a blue
  22. screen.
  23.  
  24. The same problem exists with CD-ROM installations of Windows NT.
  25.  
  26. CAUSE
  27. =====
  28.  
  29. The PCI 486DX2/66 computer is not supported by Windows NT at this time. In
  30. addition, problems have been encountered with its NCR53C810 SCSI
  31. controller.
  32.  
  33. RESOLUTION
  34. ==========
  35.  
  36. The following is a possible workaround for this problem:
  37.  
  38. 1. Disable the on-board SCSI controller.
  39.  
  40. 2. Replace the default NCR53C810 SCSI controller with one supported by
  41.    Windows NT, such as Future Domain MCS-600.
  42.
