- SYMPTOMS
- ========

- Windows NT does not install properly on PCI Mainboard 486DX2/66 computers.
- Please note that this computer is not supported by Windows NT at this time.

- During the first reboot after the installation, Windows NT yields a blue
- screen.
-
- The same problem exists with CD-ROM installations of Windows NT.

- CAUSE
- =====

- The PCI 486DX2/66 computer is not supported by Windows NT at this time. In
- addition, problems have been encountered with its NCR53C810 SCSI
- controller.

- RESOLUTION
- ==========

- The following is a possible workaround for this problem:
-
- 1. Disable the on-board SCSI controller.
-
- 2. Replace the default NCR53C810 SCSI controller with one supported by
- Windows NT, such as Future Domain MCS-600.
-
