- When you use NTBACKUP over the network to back up a directory on a remote
- target machine, the local operator must have read access to the files and
- directories on the remote target system. Backup Operator privileges do not
- suffice to give the backup operator access to remote files.

- CAUSE

- This problem is caused by some problems in the following files:

- NTOSKRNL.EXE
- SRV.SYS
- RDR.SYS

- Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT
- Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest US
- Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server. For information
