  18. The U.S. Service Pack 2 for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server
  19. version 3.1 (SP2) is now available in several formats on a variety of
  20. electronic services.

  22. To find out which bugs are fixed by the update, see the README.TXT file or
  23. the FIXLIST.HLP help file that accompanies the Service Pack or query on the
  24. following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):

  31. Not all formats are available on all electronic forums.  Specifically, the
  32. large 10 MB files for the x86, MIPS, and ALPHA Service Packs are only found
  33. on the Internet and on the Compuserve WINNTDL download area. The Intel
  34. (x86) version of Service Pack 2 is available in multiple smaller download
  35. files.

  54. AVAILABLE FORMATS

  57. Service Pack 2 is available in single 10 MB self-extracting files for x86,
  58. MIPS, and ALPHA based computers.  For x86 based computers, 8 self-
  59. extracting files are available to create a 3.5-inch floppy disk upgrade set
  60. and 9 self-extracting files are available to create a 5.25-inch set . If
  61. you prefer to upgrade direct from your hard disk but cannot download 10 MB
  62. files, you may download the 3.5-inch or 5.25-inch files and manually
  63. extract them (with the -d switch) to your hard disk drive and then install
  64. Service Pack 2 without using floppy disks.

  66. Also available for x86, MIPS, and ALPHA based computers are the Service
  67. Pack 2 Fix updates which should only be used if you have already installed
  68. a previous version of Service Pack 2 before 1/31/94.

  70. New symbol files for debugging Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server
  71. with Service Pack 2 on x86, MIPS, and ALPHA based computers are also
  72. available.
