- When using Windows NT Diagnostics, the Details button of the Drives
- Information dialog box is grayed out if a removable media drive is
- selected and there is no media in the drive. Windows NT Diagnostics
- retrieves drive details from the media itself. Without a formatted
- disk in a drive, it cannot read any information.

- Insert a formatted disk in the drive to view the details of a
- removable media drive. You may need to choose Drives again for Windows
- NT Diagnostics to sense the inserted disk. CD-ROM, floppy, floptical
- and bernoulli drives are all recognized by Windows NT.
