-
- When using Telnet with Windows NT, when you exit (using QUIT or BYE),
- the following error message occurs in Terminal:
-
- The port which was in use is no longer available.
- Please select another port.
-
- Telnet uses Terminal as a front end for TCP/IP connectivity. The file
- TELNET.TRM is used as the Terminal settings file. When you exit Telnet
- by typing either QUIT or BYE, Terminal attempts to refresh the active
- communications port but cannot because the TELNET port is closed. To
- continue to use Terminal, you must choose a different port in the
- Communications dialog box.
