  15. The Win32 base application programming interface (API) supports
  16. multiple data streams inconsistently: some operations succeed, others
  17. do not. These inconsistencies manifest themselves in CMD.EXE: some
  18. commands support multiple data streams, others do not.
  19.  
  20. There is no method to work around this problem other than by avoiding
  21. multiple data streams. This inconsistency will be addressed in the
  22. next release of Windows NT.

  24. The names of multiple data streams are identified by a colon (:) in
  25. the name. This convention may change in the future.
