  9.                      NetWare Version 2.15c UPDATE Utility

  11. Users have experienced the following difficulties when updating
  12. NetWare v2.15 from revision A to revision C.
  13.  
  14. o     The UPDATE utility does not copy the files as expected if the
  15.       workstation performing the update does not have its        
  16.       environment set up correctly.  The environment must
  17.       contain a COMSPEC statement that points to an available    
  18.       directory.  However, the COMSPEC statement cannot point to
  19.       a directory on drive A or B.  It must point to a
  20.       valid, available directory, as in the following example:

  22.             COMSPEC = C:\COMMAND.COM
  23.  
  24.       If the workstation is logged in to a network, you can use a
  25.       COMSPEC statement similar to the following:

  27.             COMSPEC = S3:COMMAND.COM
  28.  
  29. o     After using the UPDATE utility and NETGEN, some users have
  30.       noticed that the operating system still has a revision A   
  31.       header instead of a revision C header.  
  32.  
  33.       To fix this discrepancy, replace the old public utility and
  34.       OS diskettes with the new diskettes that come with the update
  35.       kit.  After replacing the old diskettes, run NETGEN.  After
  36.       you have installed the newly configured operating system, the
  37.       correct revision will be displayed.
