  7.   This  product, which most of us like
  8. on our  food, is a real dirty 4-letter
  9. word when it comes to keeping our cars
  10. in good  shape.  Some parts of the USA
  11. have no problem with it but some of us
  12. really  have  problems.  In the 'SALT'
  13. belt up north,  they  use  salt on the
  14. roads to melt  snow and  ice.   Great! 
  15. But it creates  a cancer  on the metal
  16. which is impossible to stop.  The only
  17. way to  overcome this  is to  have the
  18. car undercoated when you first buy it.

  21.   There  are more elaborate systems
  22. such as 'Ming' which put on special  
  23. coatings in  the hidden areas where  
  24. rust starts.  These do work if done  
  25. before  any rust has gotten a foot-
  26. hold.  Not  much can be done  other 
  27. than  taking a  hose as soon as you 
  28. get  home and wash the underside of 
  29. the car  with  a  strong  stream of 
  30. water.  But,  who wants  to go out-
  31. side in a  snowstorm  and wash  the
  32. underside of their car?
