  4.   Whenever you wash your  windshield,
  5. clean your wiper blades  also.  Use a
  6. cloth or paper towel  with  detergent
  7. on it and wipe the blades.   It  will
  8. help them last longer.  If they still
  9. streak  badly,  the  blade  must   be
  10. replaced.  Buy the wiper refill only.
  11. Directions on the  package  show  you
  12. how to replace them.  If  the  blades
  13. pull away from the glass when driving
  14. at high speed, you can bend the  arms
  15. slightly by hand.   If  this  doesn't
  16. work,  the  arms  will  have  to   be
  17. replaced.  During winter  months,  if

  22. you find ice  on  the  glass  in  the
  23. morning, pour cool water on  the  ice
  24. and the ice will wash away.   DO  NOT
  25. use very warm or hot water!  You will
  26. crack the glass and that  is  a  very
  27. expensive item to replace.   If  it's
  28. 30 or 40 below 0,  using  the  engine
  29. heat with  defrosters  is  still  the
  30. safest way to keep glass clear.    If
  31. you live in  a  hot  climate,  blades
  32. will have to be replaced more often. 
  33. Keep an old blade handy to  wipe  the
  34. glass clear when fog has left a layer
  35. of moisture.  Works like a squeege!
