  8.                               SYSOP DISTRIBUTION LICENSE

  10.           dtSearch is a document search and retrieval program (see
  11.           DESCRIBE.DTS for more detail.)
  12.  
  13.           dtSearch is copyrighted by DT Software, Inc.  DT Software, Inc.
  14.           hereby grants to shareware disk vendors, computer clubs, user
  15.           groups, and on-line shareware distributors ("Vendors") wishing to
  16.           distribute dtSearch a license to do so subject to all of the
  17.           following conditions:

  19.           1.  ASP Approved Vendors may distribute the complete dtSearch
  20.           package without prior permission.  Other Vendors must request
  21.           permission of DT Software, Inc. prior to distributing this
  22.           package.
  23.  
  24.           2.  The dtSearch package is defined as containing all of the
  25.           material listed in the PACKING.DTS file.  If PACKING.DTS or any
  26.           files listed in it are missing, then the package is not complete
  27.           and distribution is forbidden.  Please contact DT Software, Inc.
  28.           to obtain the complete package.

  30.           3.  Vendors may not modify the dtSearch package in any way,
  31.           except that Vendors may add (1) introductory or installation
  32.           batch files, or (2) one or more small text notes, appended to a
  33.           DTS file or in separate files, containing information about the
  34.           Vendor.  Vendors may distribute dtSearch in a collection with
  35.           other shareware, such as in a CD ROM or PsL's MegaDisks.

  37.           4.  Vendors may not sell the dtSearch package or distribute it as
  38.           part of another software package.  However, Vendors may charge a
  39.           distribution fee for the diskette, shipping, and handling, not to
  40.           exceed US$8.00 in the United States or US$12.00 internationally.

  42.           5.  Vendors may not advertise dtSearch as "free" software.

  44.           If the version of dtSearch you have is more than one year old,
  45.           please contact DT Software, Inc. to obtain the latest version.
