  4. Boundary            Besides providing a rapid path to desired ideas

  7.                     between ideas.  Defining (or creating) boundaries,

  10.                     In most non-hypertext systems (regulations, procedures,
  11.                     policy manuals, etc.), rarely has anyone created
  12.                     taxonomies that provide both good paths and good
  13.                     boundaries.

  15. Making structure    That means a major part of classification work is not
  16. seem natural        putting ideas in slots, but the creation of natural
  17. ============        slots or patterns that others will readily accept.

  19. How to do it        Once I've identified the categories, I use my language
  20. ============        skills to make my categories seem complete, parallel,
  21.                     and ordered.  Such categories are what makes the structure
  22.                     of the information easily understood <link04>.
