  1. APPLICATIONS MAKER - HELP FOR DATE ITEMS

  3. The DATE items allow the processing of STRING data formatted for  the
  4. storage of dates.  The DATA ITEMS can be of four types: ENTRY,  READ,
  5. AUTO-FILL and STATIC.
  6.  
  7. ENTRY: With the ENTRY type your user enters the date.
  8.  
  9. READ:  With the READ type the date is read into item from  relational
  10. file.  Before reads  can be done records in the relational files must
  11. be identified and found on the basis of KEYS.  Help is available  for
  12. KEYS within the STRING data type.
  13.  
  14. AUTO-FILL:   With the AUTO-FILL type the computer date is  placed  in
  15. the  item.  You will have the option to format the computer  date  in
  16. standard or military formats.
  17.  
  18. STATIC:  With the STATIC type the item is left alone.  It is  usually
  19. the target of a string formula.
