ENVMM
ENVLJ to WordStar(TM) Mail Merge conversion utility.
Copyright 1990, Steven D. Stern.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
ENVMM is a utility that reads a data file built and maintained by ENVLJ (a
utility for printing envelopes on HP laser printers) and creates a file
suitable for wordprocessors or spreadsheets.
Each address in the ENVLJ data file is written to a new file in the 'quote
and comma' format used by the WordStar(TM) mailmerge utility and by other
popular word processors. Quote and comma files are also easily imported
into spreadsheets.
Each resulting data record is of the format:
"key","line1","line2","line3","line4","line5","line6"
Each data record is terminated with a carriage return and line feed
(CRLF).
Usage:
ENVMM filename.ext
where "filename.ext" is the name of an ENVLJ data file (e.g., "ENVLJ.DAT").
The resulting data file is named "filename.DTA".
Requirements:
Standard IBM compatible hardware, MS-DOS version 2.11 or greater.
License Terms:
A license to use ENVMM is provided to all by it's author, Steven D. Stern,

Shameless Plug:
Going crazy trying to use a typewriter to do envelopes? Using complex
wordprocessing macros to do envelopes in your laser printer? You need
ENVLJ, the envelope's friend. ENVLJ maintains a data base of envelopes,
address and fonts and lets you print easily on any HP compatible laser
printer. No extra hardware is needed.
ENVLJ is distibuted electronically via bulletin boards. The most recent
release of ENVLJ is always available in Compuserve's IBM Hardware Forum,
in the Printer/Utilites library. It's also available on hundreds of local
bulletin boards from coast to coast.
Other business:
WordStar is a trademark of Wordstar Internation. HP is a trademark of
Hewlett-Packard. IBM is, well, IBM. And DOS is Microsoft or IBM,
depending.
