The flavor is pungent, biting, very pronounced, and the color is usually bright red-orange. T Salt and other spices are sometimes added to commercially E produced ground cayenne to vary taste. Special care should S be taken to find an amount that is right to suit individual T tastes, but don't be afraid to give this spice a chance. Some dishes are not the same without it.
