The main menu appears on top of the
middle of your picture anytime you
must make a decision. You can choose
any of the 32 squares in the main
menu by pointing to it and clicking
the left mouse button. Some of the
squares you can choose take you into
sub-menus, such as the SOUND square,
where further decisions are required.
Others will cause the main menu to
disappear so you can work on your
picture. If you are used to other
drawing programs, where the menu
remains at the side of the picture,
this may take some getting used to.
It is designed this way so you can
work on the full screen.
Any time you have a question
about ANOTHER PROGRAM, if the main
menu is on the screen, point to any
box and click the RIGHT mouse
button. This will pop up
context-sensitive help. All of the
important instructions for creating
a picture are in these help pop-ups.
A presentation consists of
several picture files, each of which
can contain its own sounds, text,
animations, etc.

To create a presentation, first
make up each picture. Then select the
BUILD feature in the upper right
corner of the MAIN MENU. You can get
more help on BUILD by clicking the
right mouse button when pointing to
it. BUILD creates a special file on
the disk called ANOTHER.CFG which
contains data about which files, or
'pictures' you want presented and in
which order you want them presented.
Then copy all your picture files,
ANOTHER.CFG and VSHOW.EXE onto a blank
floppy disk. When the end user types
VSHOW, the program called VSHOW.EXE.
begins. It starts by reading the
contents of ANOTHER.CFG. Then it will
present the pictures as you have
chosen for the end user. HINT: You can
rename VSHOW.EXE to BEGIN.EXE. Then
label your disk with, "Type BEGIN
and press [Enter]," to make it easy
for inexperienced computer users.
Optionally, you can create a
special picture file called GOTO,
which contains a table of contents.
The numbers of the chapters must be
the same number as the files you
want the end users to see when they
type a number. See the example GOTO
file included on this disk. It is
designed for this User's Guide
Presentation. Make sure your GOTO
has instructions for your end users.
