  1. WONDERFUL WIZARD HAT
  2.  
  3. YOU'LL NEED:
  4. Scissors
  5. 1 large brown paper bag or 1 sheet of heavy gift wrap
  6. Pencil
  7. Paints, markers, or stickers
  8. Tape
  9. Yarn or string
  10.  
  11. STEP 1
  12. With adult help, cut out a 17-inch square from the paper bag.
  13.  
  14. STEP 2
  15. With a pencil, draw a round line on one corner. Cut along the line. Paint the hat.  Let it dry.

  17. STEP 3
  18. Bring the sides of the hat together to make a cone shape. Tape the edges to hold.

  21. Trim off the bottom edge to make it even all the way around.

  23. STEP 5
  24. For ties, cut 2 pieces of yarn about 12 inches long. Tape one end of each piece to the inside of the hat.

  27. Tape a square piece of lightweight fabric, a scarf, or crepe-paper streamers to the point of the hat.

  30. SOME COOL IDEAS:
  31. Complete your costume by making a cotton-ball beard.

  33. Cut a triangle from a 9-inch paper plate. Punch a hole in two corners of the triangle. Attach one end of a pipe cleaner to each hole. Adjust the other end to fit over the child√ïs ears. Use white crafts glue to glue cotton balls to the front of the triangle.
