  1. TREE TREATS

  3. YOU'LL NEED:
  4. Box of sugar cones
  5. 2-inch-diameter plastic foam balls
  6. Jar of acrylic gloss medium and varnish
  7. Jar or modeling paste
  8. Crafts glue
  9. Paintbrush
  10. Knife or spreader
  11. Staples or tops of cut-off paper clips
  12. Waxed paper
  13. Poster or acrylic paints
  14. Shoe box
  15.  
  16. STEP 1  
  17. Cover the work area with a sheet of waxed paper.
  18.  
  19. Then paint the inside and outside of the ice-cream cone with the gloss varnish.  Set the cone aside to dry on waxed paper for at least 24 hours.

  21. STEP 2
  22. Squeeze a band of crafts glue around the inside rim of the cone.  Then set a ball on top of the cone, pushing it into the cone.

  24. STEP 3
  25. Dab glue on the tips of a staple or paper clip, and push the tips into the top of the ball.  And then set the ornament aside to dry.

  27. STEP 4
  28. Cut 1-inch-diameter holes in the lid of the shoe box.

  30. Use the knife to spread the modeling paste over the ball. Do not to cover the staple or paper clip.  Set the cone in the lid of the box. Let modeling paste dry.

  32. STEP 5
  33. Finally, using poster or acrylic paint, paint the ice cream the color of your favorite flavor.
