- YOU'LL NEED:
- Rolling pin
- Flour
- One 2 1/2-inch round cookie cutter
- Milk
- Custard cup
- Pastry brush
- Small spoon
- Bottle opener
- Raisins, tiny chocolate pieces, or nuts
- Shortening
- Baking sheet

- And for the piggy biscuit dough:

- 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup of whole wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 cup of shortening
- 1/4 cup of finely chopped peanuts
- 1/4 cup milk

- STEP 1
- First make piggy biscuit dough:

- In a medium mixing bowl stir together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.

- With a pastry blender cut in the shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Then stir in the chopped peanuts.

- STEP 2
- Make a well in the center of the flour mixture. Add the milk all at once. Then stir it with a fork until the dough clings together.

- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for 10 to 12 strokes.

- Next, roll or pat the piggy biscuit dough to 1/2-inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.

- For the pigs' bodies, cut the dough into 5 circles with a round cookie cutter.
