  3. YOU'LL NEED:
  4. Newspaper or brown Kraft paper (optional)
  5. Scissors
  6. 1 paper plate
  7. Paints or colors
  8. Paintbrush
  9. Glitter (optional)
  10. Stickers (optional)
  11. Construction paper
  12. White crafts glue
  13. Bird head and body
  14. One 6-inch piece of pipe cleaner
  15. Tape

  17. STEP 1
  18. Cover the work surface with newspapers.  
  19.  
  20. To make the bird tail, cut a 6-inch circle out of a paper plate. Or, use a 6-inch paper plate.

  22. Cut a narrow strip off the bottom of the paper circle.  Paint it and decorate it with glitter or stickers.

  24. STEP 2
  25. On the construction paper, trace the top and bottom of a 3-ounce paper cup. Cut out the circles. Use the bigger circle (2 1/2 inches) for the bird's body, the smaller one (1 1/2 inches) for the head.

  27. Glue the head to the body.  Glue them to the tail.  Draw a face on the bird√ïs head.

  29. STEP 3
  30. For the legs and feet, fold the pipe cleaner in half.  Bend each end of the pipe cleaner out about 3/4 inch.  Tape the feet to the back of the bird body.  Adjust the feet so your peacock will stand up.
