Frozen bread dough, thawed, or one 11-ounce package refrigerated french bread dough
1 beaten egg
1 tablespoon of water
STEP 1
Tear a piece of foil the size of your baking sheet. Tape the foil to the counter. Lightly grease the foil. Next, using the dough like clay, make animal shapes on the foil.
Decorate your animals with snipped raisins, currants, dried fruit bits, or nuts for the eyes, noses, or even belly buttons! Be as creative as you can be!
STEP 2
Remove the tape from the foil. Then carefully lift the foil and dough together onto the baking sheet. Brush the dough with a mixture of egg and water.
STEP 3
With adult help, bake dough in a 375 degree oven about 15 minutes or untill golden brown. Use hot pads to remove the baking sheet from the oven. With a pancake turner, lift the hot dough animals off the foil and onto a wire rack. Let the dough animals cool.
