  10. The woodwinds repeat the "echo", but an octave higher.  This time they extend the musical idea, ending it with a cadence.

  12. If you look carefully, you will discover the "Fate Motive" from the first movement in the two last bars of this extended "echo".  The motive is played by the oboes, clarinet, and bassoon; then, it is played slightly faster by the flutes.
