  1.         Dial-Up Networking Setup
  2.         ------------------------

  4. To setup dial-up networking for connection to the Internet -
  5.  
  6. 1.    Click Start|Settings|Control Panel
  7.  
  8. 2.    Double click the Add/Remove Programs icon
  9.  
  10. 3.    Click the Windows Setup tab
  11.  
  12. 4.    Select Communications
  13.  
  14. 5.    Click Details
  15.  
  16. 6.    Check the Dial-Up Networking box
  17.  
  18. 7.    Click OK and OK again
  19.  
  20. 8.      If you are prompted for a Workgroup or Computer name type
  21.         "Default" and "Group" respectively then click Close 
  22.

  24. You may need you Windows CD or disks to complete the installation.
  25.  
  26. After you have restarted your computer you will need to configure
  27. Dial-Up Networking.

  29. 9.    Click Start|Settings|Control Panel
  30.  
  31. 10.    Double click the Network icon
  32.  
  33. 11.    Select IPX/SPX-compatible and click Remove
  34.  
  35. 12.    Select NetBEUI and click Remove
  36.  
  37. 13.    Click Add
  38.  
  39. 14.    Select Protocol and click Add
  40.  
  41. 15.    Select Microsoft in the Manufacturers window
  42.  
  43. 16.    Select TCP/IP in the Network Protocols window
  44.  
  45. 17.    Click OK and OK again

  48. You may need your Windows CD or disks at this stage.  You will need to
  49. restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

  51. Once your computer has been restarted, re-run the CD.
