  6. The current status of CWAC is dead.  I just wanted to let anyone know, that
  7. might be interested.  I have moved completely out of the ST realm and into the
  8. clone world.  I am quite a bit happier than I ever was with my ST.  There
  9. simply is not any support out there for the ST, either commercially via
  10. products, or as a shareware programmer by the users of the software.  Only a
  11. handful (8 at tops) of people actually registered CWAC, which hardly makes it
  12. worth the effort to continue spending hours updating code and adding wanted
  13. features.

  15. Don't get me wrong, I'm really grateful to the dudes who did register, because
  16. it is those guys that keep any hope of ST shareware alive.  My early version
  17. of CWAC was cracked (quite poorly, I might add.  The cracker made the program
  18. do less than the uncracked version did.)

  20. Now that I am not frustrated any longer, and now that I have absolutely no
  21. need for the code, I am going to release every stitch of code that I have ever
  22. done into the donation-ware world.  What this simply means is that if you
  23. decide to use any of the code in one of your own projects, or should you
  24. decide to further CWAC, it would be nice of you to make a donation to me for
  25. the time spent doing your work.  Grin.  I am not placing the burden of
  26. shareware on it, because I truly feel that the words 'shareware' and  'and
  27. 'Atari' do not go well together.

  29. It may be a few weeks before I can borrow an ST to yank the code off of the
  30. hard drives.  If, between now and then, someone decides they would like to
  31. purchase the code exclusively to CWAC and to my 3-dimensional button routines
  32. for standard GEM boxes, I ask $100.  For that, I give all rights to the code
  33. to that individual and rescend the offer to upload the code here.  You may

  36. Again, thank you to the ones who supported CWAC.  I feel it was the best
  37. archive conversion tool available on the ST platform (and I'm not trying to
  38. toot my own horn, because it took a lot of work.)  I hope to meet some of you
  39. on the clone platform in the future.
