Supplemental Dictionary Creation Utility
for the dbWRITER Desk Accessory

This utility allows you to compile custom supplemental dictionaries for use
with the dbWRITER dictionary/thesaurus desk accessory.
You will need a list of words, one word per line up to a maximum of 6000
lines. Words can't be longer than 19 characters and they cannot contain
control characters.
When first run, this utility will ask you to choose your word list with the
fileselector. After loading you will have the option to sort the list
alphabetically (A-z) and also to convert the list to lower case.
Next will be the compilation screen. Here you can see your progress, how many
lines have been skipped and how many lines have been created in the new
supplemental dictionary.
When done you can save your new custom dictionary to disk. Please use the
extension .DAT
The dbWRITER supplemental dictionary format is quite simple:
ASCII text sorted alphabetically (A-z)
12 words per line sorted left to right
No words longer than 19 characters
1 space at the beginning of every line and between each word
600 lines maximum
You can load supplemental dictionaries into your favorite word processor and
make changes after creation, just follow the basic format.
You use this utility at your own risk. It is freeware.
