- with the addition to search by ingredient, type and cuisine.<p align="justify">
- Search by ingredient: is a keyword search where it pick a recipe that
- contains a ingredients that has the keyword provided.<p align="justify">
- Search by type and Cuisine you simply select a type or cuisine and it will
- restrict your search to the selected type or cuisine.<hr noshade color="#000000" size="1">
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr"><b><font size="4"><a name="Edit Recipe"></a>
- Add/Edit/Delete Recipe:</font></b><p align="left">
- You can Add/Edit or Delete a Recipe Item by clicking on the Add, Edit or
- Delete Button from the <a href="introduction.htm#ToolBar">ToolBar</a>
- (make sure the Recipe page is active).<p align="left">
- Add and Edit are the same steps, as follow:<p align="left">
- once you click on add or Edit you would be provided with following dialog:<p align="justify" dir="ltr">

- This Dialog has 6 page:<p align="justify" dir="ltr"><b>Overview

- <b>Recipe General Info Page:</b> Where you would enter Recipe Name, Select
- the Cuisine and Type and set the Number of serves, Preparation and Cooking
- time.</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr"><b>Recipe's Ingredients Page: </b>Simply
- Add/Edit Ingredients</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr"><b>Recipe's Procedure Page:</b> Enter the
- Instruction or Direction for this recipe</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr"><b>Recipe's Nutrient Page:</b> Add or
- calculate the nutrient values for this recipe</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr"><b>Recipe's Source Page:</b> Where you can
- enter the source detail for this recipe, who is the author and from where
- did you get.</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr"> </p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">To
- Navigate between these Pages, simply click on the page name from the left
- menu</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">Click on
- the <b>Recipe's General Info</b> and you would be provided with the following
- page:</p>

- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">Enter the Recipe Name, Select a Cuisine for
- the list, select type (or more then one) by click the add type button (the
- button with the green plus sign), if you did a mistake you can use delete
- type button to remove it.</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">Then Set the number of serves that this
- recipe would produce and if you know or can estimate how long it will take
- enter the preparation and cooking time.</p>

- <p align="justify" dir="ltr"> </p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr"> </p>

- then click on the <b>Recipe's Ingredients </b>and you would be provided with the

- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">Here you would be presented with a list
- displaying all ingredients you have entered for the recipe, it displays
- the Quantity, Unit and the Ingredient Name for each. To Add an Ingredient, Simply
- press the Add Ingredient Button, if you did a mistake and need to edit the
- Ingredient , press Edit Ingredient Button. And both Add/Edit Ingredients,
- you would be presented with a simple dialog asking for Quantity, Unit and
- Ingredient's Name.</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">to Delete and Ingredient Simply press the
- Delete Ingredient button.</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr"> </p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr"> </p>

- then click on the <b>Recipe's Procedure </b>and you would be provided with the

- but it is advised that you give a meaningful steps describing how to
- prepare, cook the recipe. You also free to add your personal comment at
- the end.</p>

- <p align="justify" dir="ltr"> </p>

- then click on the <b>Recipe's Nutrition </b>and you would be provided with the

- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">In this page, you can enter or calculate the
- nutritional values for the recipe.</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">Firstly, this step is optional, if you are
- using Recipe Manager simply or orgonize your favourite recipes and don't
- care about its nutritional values then you can simply skip this page.</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">Secondly, if you know the nutritional values
- for this recipe then Enter them by selecting the nutrient (e.g. Protein)
- and you would be prompt to enter its values (repeat adding values for all
- the nutrients you can provided (note it is not compulsory to add all
- nutrients.</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr"> </p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr"> </p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">Finally, if you interested in analyzing a new
- recipe based on USDA database by applying the total of the ingredients'
- nutritional values, then you need to make sure that your ingredients have
- been linked to USDA (simply for each of your ingredients, you choose a
- food item from the USDA database and their equivalent quantity and
- measurement).</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">Once you linked (see bellow how) your
- ingredients, you can press the Calculate Nutrients from Ingredients Button
- (is the last button form the bottom between the 2 lists) and it will
- calculate the nutrients and insert their values in the list on the right.</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">To link your ingredients to the USDA
- database, simply click on Link Ingredient Button (is the 2nd button from
- the bottom between the 2 lists) and then you would be presented with the
- following dialog</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">

- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">This Screen looks like it has too much
- information but it should be simple to use.</p>
- <p align="justify">On the top, you would see the ingredient name, quantity
- and unit that you have inserted in previous step (Recipe Ingredient's
- Page). and just right bellow that you would see on the right side red
- text, which tells you the current record number, the total records, and if
- it is linked (e.g. in the screen it say, this is first record out of total
- 8 and it is not linked). You also can move to the next ingredient by
- clicking on next or prior to move to previous ingredient.</p>

- <p align="justify">So, for each Ingredient link it to a food Item in the
- USDA as follow:</p>
- <p align="justify">click on the button "Click here to search for food" and
- you would be presented with a list of option</p>
- <p align="justify">Display All Foods, Display by Food Group, Simple Search
- and Advanced Search, choose the option that suite you most and then select
- the food item from the left on the left, then, in Measure Setting you can
- add the Quantity In Grams (eg. Quantity = 100 and In Grams is
- selected) or add the Quantity by Measure (e.g. Quantity = 1 and By
- Measure is selected and for the measure list you choice a cup) and then
- you click on the Add/Update Ingredient Link. (note: if you did a mistake
- or simple need to change the link, repeat the process the click the
- Add/Update Ingredient Link button and will update the link for you. You
- also can remove the link by click the Remove Ingredient link button.</p>
- <p align="justify">Make sure you repeat that for each Ingredient by
- Pressing Next and Prior and making sure the Linked = YES for each of them.</p>
- <p align="justify">Once you finished press Ok to close the window and save
- your links. Then you would go back to Recipe Nutrition Page and you can
- press the Calculate Nutrients from Ingredients Button to update the
- nutrient list. (NOTE: if you enter any nutrient values prior to calculate
- it will be overwritten by the new calculated values, so if you need to
- modify any nutrient values do it after the calculate is done, then delete
- the desired nutrient and add it again manually).</p>

- then click on the <b>Recipe's Source </b>and you would be provided with the

- this page, enter them especially if you going to exchange your recipe or

- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">Author Name: Who wrote this recipe</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">Source: Could be a book, another software or
- simply a company name</p>
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">WebPage Name and WebPage Link: Since many
- links could be long string which won't look pretty in the
- <a href="introduction.htm#Display Area">Display Area</a>, you can give a
- shorter link (e.g. Main Page) or simply Description or the Page Title. If
- WebPage Name is left blank it will copy the string from the Link and
- display it.</p>

- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">Finally Press OK to save the recipe and its
- information which will take you back to the main screen.</p>

- To Delete a recipe Simply click on the Delete button from the
- <a href="introduction.htm#ToolBar">ToolBar</a>., you would be ask for
- conformation and if you confirm with yes.. the recipe would be delete with
- all it contents.<p align="justify" dir="ltr"> </p>

- <p align="justify" dir="ltr"><b><font size="4"><a name="Save"></a>
- Save/Export Recipe:</font></b><p align="justify" dir="ltr">The second last
- button on the Recipe's <a href="introduction.htm#ToolBar">ToolBar</a>, is
- Export Selected Recipe, simply click on it, choose a filename to save to
- and press ok. The recipe and all its detail would be saved. then you can
- email this recipe to your friends who is using Recipe Manager, so he/she can
- import your recipe in the software and view it from there. (If they are
- not using Recipe Manager, let them know about it or simply email them the
- HTML version, which is easier to read without Recipe Manager).
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">NOTE: if you like to share you recipe with

- Load/Import Recipe:</font></b><p align="justify" dir="ltr">The last button
- on the Recipe's <a href="introduction.htm#ToolBar">ToolBar</a>, is Import
- Recipe From a File, simply click on it, choose a previously saved file
- (either by you or a friend or download it from the web) and that new
- recipe will be added provided that it hasn't been added before. (NOTE: if
- 2 identical recipes with 2 different name or a different in a ingredient
- name, the software won't recognize they are identical. so, it will insert
- it).<p align="justify" dir="ltr"> <hr noshade color="#000000" size="1">
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr"><b><font size="4"><a name="Save HTML"></a>
- Save HTML:</font></b><p align="justify" dir="ltr">Click on the Save HTML
- button on the Recipe's <a href="introduction.htm#ToolBar">ToolBar</a> to
- save it to HTML, choose a filename to save it to, choose a template
- <p align="justify" dir="ltr">and then click OK to save it. (the Saved HTML
- file is perfect for publishing your recipe on the web or if you want to
- print a recipe with a customized look).<p align="justify" dir="ltr">NOTE:
