  4. 1. Tips:
  5. =======
  6. Here is a brief solution of the game up to the ghost town:
  7.  
  8. City Section:
  9. ------------
  10. When you've jumped out of the windows run to the left killing the guards and
  11. jumping from one rooftop to the next. When you get to the last roof go down and
  12. you're at the harbour. Ignore the guards here - just leg it down the jetty to 
  13. the left and when you get to the end perform a spectacular flying leap and cling
  14. on to the boat.
  15.  
  16. Island Section:
  17. --------------
  18. Go left from the beach and you get to a cave with quicksand in front of it. As
  19. you approach several stepping stones appear. Step on all the stones except the
  20. one that has the same marking as that on the door. The door should now open. If
  21. it doesn't leave the screen and try again.
  22.  
  23. Cave Section:
  24. ------------
  25. After floating down a few levels you soon come to a flying carpet. You can't 
  26. take it yet because you get squashed on the grill in the roof. Keep going to the
  27. right and after some climbing you come to a bridge guarded by a skeleton. Walk 
  28. on to the bridge and attack the skeleton until you swap places then go a bit to
  29. the right and as the bridge collapses push your joystick the left and press the
  30. firebutton to make the prince grab on to the falling bridge. Climb up and 
  31. continue to the left but avoid fights because you haven't got a sword anymore.
  32. When you see another skeleton make a run for it. Push the button on the floor 
  33. and then jump on to the carpet.
  34.  
  35. Ghost Town Section:
  36. ------------------
  37. You die frequently so save even more frequently. Watch out for the snakes 
  38. because one nip from them and you're dead. Use the crawl feature to wriggle 
  39. through secret tunnels and to avoid getting sliced in two. To kill the flying
  40. skulls push the joystick up immediately before hitting the firebutton and you
  41. should be able to dispatch them without taking too many hits.

  43. 2. Cheat:
  44. ========
  45. Here is the sequel to the very popular Prince of Persia cheat:
  46. When starting the game type: prince YIPPEEYAHOO [Enter] to activate a cheat
  47. mode. Some of you may have versions of the game that don't contain this cheat
  48. but don't despair - just type: prince MAKINT [Enter] instead.
  49. So then the cheats. Once the mode has been activated you can use the following
  50. key combinations during the game .....
  51.                 [Shift]+[W]     to float down long drops
  52.                 [Shift]+[T]     to gain an extra health point
  53.                 [Shift]+[R]     to show current room number
  54.                 [Shift]+[B]     to toggle background animations
  55.                 [Shift]+[S]     to release the shadow
  56.                 [Shift]+[I]     to invert the screen
  57.                 [Shift]+[K]     to lose a health point
  58.                 [Alt]+[N]       to jump to the next level
  59.                 [+] / [-]       to increase/decrease time left
  60.                 [K]             to kill all enemies on screen
  61.                 [R]             to restore your life after dying
  62.                 [F1]            to toggle slow motion on and off
  63.                 [F2]            to show your position on the x-axis
  64.                 [F3]            to turn the player on and off
  65.                 [F4]            to toggle horizontal grid on and off
  66.  
  67.                    And with the joystick on ...
  68.                 LEFT CURSOR     moves you one pixel to the left
  69.                 RIGHT CURSOR    moves you one pixel to the right
  70.                 [PGDN]          moves half a step to the left
  71.                 [END]           moves halp a step to the right
