Playing back a previously recorded programme is very easy. There are two ways of choosing which programme to play depending on whether youÆre using the mouse or the remote control:

Using the <i>File</i> menu, select the <i>Open</i> item and a box will appear similar to the one shown below.

The starting directory will default to the current recordings directory that you have set up (see <a href='Functions - Video Recorder.htm#1'>The Recording Directory</a>).

Only files that have the extension æ.mpgÆ are displayed.
<br><br>
To select a file for playing, either highlight the file with the mouse and click the <i>Open</i> button, or just double click on the file name.
Using the remote, press the <i>Menu</i> button and the main menu overlay will appear.

Select the <i>PVR</i> option followed by either <i>TV Recordings</i> or <i>Radio Recordings</i> (note that your recordings have been automatically classified as either TV or Radio) and the recorded files overlay be displayed similar to the one below:

The files shown will be those present in the current recordings directory (see æ<a href='../Settings/Recordings - General.htm#1'>The Recording Directory</a>Æ) and can either be shown in chronological order of creation date or in alphabetical order.

Using the menu keys on the remote highlight the recording that you wish to play and hit the <i>OK</i> button. The file should now start playing and
if you have it enabled in <a href='../settings/General - General.htm'>Settings</a>, the <a href='../Media/Media Player - Media Player Interface.htm'>Media Player</a> control window will appear.
You can delete any of the files by hitting the <i>Delete</i> button next to the entry.

<b>Creating a playlist</b>
<br><br>
Navigate to the same menu shown in the picture above (or the Radio Recordings menu). You can choose to add files to the playlist here by simply clicking the <i>Playlist</i> button (positioned next to each TV/Radio recording entry). A 'Y' will also be shown in the box to indicate the file's presence in the playlist.

When you have finished constructing your list, you can open it up by selecting the <i>Playlist</i> button in the top left of the window and start playing from any point by selecting
a file in the list. Each recording in the list will then start automatically after the last one has finished.

You can control the playback for each recording as normal with either the Remote Control keys, or the Media Player buttons.
