  7. You can register on-line with a credit card through the
  8. Shorthand Home Page at http://www.alumni.caltech.edu/~lim/shorthand.

  10. There are two types of Licenses:
  11. 1. USER LICENSE ($49) -  license for 1 person for office use. 
  12. 2. SITE LICENSE ($149 per 10 users) - a multi-user license for company-wide use.

  14. User License (US$49 per User)
  15. -----------------------------
  16. A User License gives you a personalized Single User License File
  17. which allows you to install Shorthand on any computer you use.
  18. Only the person named in the License File is allowed to use that
  19. particular copy of Shorthand.  The License File is not
  20. copy protected.

  22. Site Licenses
  23. -------------
  24. A Site License gives you a Site License File which allows you
  25. to install Shorthand on any computer located at a single physical 
  26. site so long as the number of persons who have access to Shorthand
  27. at any one time is not greater than the number of authorized users 
  28. specified in the License File. The License File is NOT copy
  29. protected.
  30. A Site License costs US$149 for 10 users, US$495 for 50 users 
  31. and US$795 for 100 users. Prices are subject to change at any
  32. time.

  34. Upgrade from a Previous Version of Shorthand
  35. --------------------------------------------
  36. If you are a registered user of Shorthand 4.0 or earlier, 
  37. you can upgrade for only US$29 per USER LICENSE.

  39. Getting the Unregistered Version of Shorthand
  40. on a Disk (US$10 per disk)
  41. ---------------------------------------------
  42. The current, unregistered version of Shorthand can be
  43. downloaded from the Shorthand Home Page on the World Wide Web
  44. (refer to Shorthand's About Box for the URL address).
  45. You can also receive the unregistered program on a 3.5" disk
  46. by sending US$10 to OfficeSoft.
  47. IMPORTANT! The disk contains the unregistered version of
  48. Shorthand. To be able to use the program you must have a
  49. current License (as described above) for each PC that will
  50. be running Shorthand.

  59. Registering By Mail

  61. Print out an order form by selecting "Order Form"
  62. from Shorthand's Help menu.
  63. OfficeSoft accepts only checks or money orders drawn in
  64. US dollars. EuroCheques are NOT accepted.
