  4.    On installation of the Swift POS program, the blank
  5.    database files are written into the installation folder.
  6.    The default installation folder is:
  7.                      C:\Program Files\Swift POS\
  8.  
  9.    It is  possible for the files to be  centrally  located
  10.    for other workstations to have access to them by
  11.    copying the files into a 'shared' folder on a network
  12.    computer.

  14.    When Swift POS is launched for the first time,
  15.    it prompts the user for the path to the database
  16.    files. For single-user application, it is not neces-
  17.    sary to change the default path that appears on
  18.    the screen. If more than one workstation will be
  19.    using the same database, the user must know
  20.    where the database files have been placed on
  21.    the network, and either browse to that folder or
  22.    simply enter the entire path to the folder contain-
  23.    ing the files.

  25.    In the event the files are moved to a new location
  26.    and the Swift POS workstations need to change to
  27.    a new folder, the ADMINISTRATOR can reset the
  28.    path by selecting the DATA PATH option under the
  29.    EDIT menu at the top of the screen.

  31.    The current path to the database files can be found
  32.    on the bottom of the CUSTOMER DB, PRODUCT DB,
  33.    and SALE DB window when selected under the
  34.    VIEW menu at the top of the  screen.
