  1. Click on start.

  3. Go to settings, then control panel.   
  4.  
  5. Choose regional settings and then the date option.  
  6.  
  7. In the short date style: 
  8.     If it displays yy, add yy so that yyyy is displayed.  
  9.  
  10. Repeat for long date style so that it displays yyyy as well.  
  11.  
  12. Click on apply and then OK.
