  6. Welcome to the 3D-Ware personal PC Pro special edition.

  9. System Requirments.

  11. 3D-Ware uses Expanded Memory, therefore an EMM driver such as EMM386.EXE
  12. should be loaded within your config.sys file.  Any application that you
  13. produce using 3D-Ware will also need this driver, so this information
  14. should be passed on to your customers.

  16. 3D-Ware is a real mode library, so any attempt to link it to the protected
  17. mode libraries of Watcom or Borland will give errors.
  18. The library can be linked to the standard real mode libraries of both 
  19. manufacturers.

  21. We suggest that you add the UTILS directory to your path.  This will
  22. allow you to use the utilities from any directory and will allow 
  23. "DXF2SH" and "3DC" to correctly find DOS4GW.EXE which they require.

  26. Non "C" Support.
  27. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  28. Although the library can be linked to any compiled language, the
  29. function definitions for languages other than C are not supplied
  30. with the special edition.

  32. If you generate definitions / headers for other languages, please
  33. remember that all functions require PASCAL calling conventions and
  34. that all the 3D-Ware calls are FAR calls.

  37. 2D collision.
  38. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  40. Collisions are now supported within 3D-Ware via two functions, dddIsCollision
  41. and dddIsCollision16.  These functions require collision information in the
  42. 3D shapes.  This information is inserted by using the Insprx.exe program on
  43. the 3D shapes.  The collision area can then be edited using the Testprx.exe
  44. utility program.

  48. The professional edition of 3D-Ware supports texture mapping, gouraud
  49. shading and autoscaling sprites, as well as support for Turbo and Borland
  50. Pascal.  The professional edition is also supplied with the printed
  51. documentation consisting mainly of the 330+ page spiral bound page manual.
  52. Unlimited support is free for the professional edition.

  54. If you wish to purchase the professional edition you can send a payment
  55. of £99 + £8 Postage and packing plus VAT.
