  11.      INSTALLATION:
  12.      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  13.      CMFiler does not require any special installation, other than copying
  14.      files.  The files CMFILER.COM and CMFILER.OVY are the program files, and
  15.      must appear in the same directory.  We suggest making a directory named
  16.      CF605 on the hard disk of your choice, and copying all the files from the
  17.      CMFiler file set into this directory.  The batch file INSTALL.BAT does
  18.      this, and then copies a batch file called CF.BAT into the root directory
  19.      of the hard disk.  This lets you run CMFiler from any current path just
  20.      by typing CF.

  22.      The icon image file CMFILER.ICO and the program information file
  23.      CMFILER.PIF are provided for Windows users, and may be used to add
  24.      CMFiler to a program group.  The CMFILER.PIF file assumes the CMFiler
  25.      files are on C:\CF605, so if you choose a different name or disk for
  26.      installation, the .PIF file will have to be edited.

  28.      UNINSTALLATION:

  30.      Uninstalling CMFiler is simple.  Just delete the contents of the
  31.      directory you created for CMFiler (e.g., C:\CF605), and remove the
  32.      directory.  If you used the tree module, there will probably be a
  33.      subdirectory called ~TREES~, which may also be deleted.  If you used
  34.      CMFiler's soft-delete feature, there will be a directory called ~TRASH~
  35.      on the root of each hard disk from which you deleted files, and these may
  36.      also be deleted.

  38.      DIFFERENCES BETWEEN CMFiler SHAREWARE AND REGISTERED EDITIONS:

  40.      The shareware edition of CMFiler Ver 6.05 is functionally equal to the
  41.      registered edition, except for the following:

  43.      The shareware edition has a time- and usage-triggered "registration
  44.      reminder screen", which reminds the evaluator that CMFiler is shareware
  45.      and must be registered if it is being used beyond the evaluation period.
  46.      This screen does not force any delay in function, and may be dismissed
  47.      with a single keystroke.  This screen does not signal any loss or
  48.      degradation of function, as CMFiler IS NOT CRIPPLED OR TIME-LIMITED IN
  49.      ANY FASHION WHATSOEVER.

  51.      If the evaluation period has been exceeded, CMFiler offers to print a
  52.      registration form upon exit.  This offer may be answered No with no loss
  53.      of function, although we at NoVaSoft hope and expect that any person who
  54.      has used CMFiler through an extended evaluation period will recognize its
  55.      true worth is many times its registration price, and will register the
  56.      program at this point to receive all the registration benefits.

  58.      REGISTERING CMFiler:

  60.      Please refer to the file ORDER.TXT for information on registering
  61.      CMFiler.  Two forms are provided for registration -- one for direct order
  62.      by cash or check, the other for credit card orders through Public
  63.      (software) Library, CASH.FRM and CARD.FRM, respectively.  These may be
  64.      printed using CMFiler's print-fiLe command.  Alternatively, the keystroke
  65.      Ctrl-B may be used.
